Our Vision

Prov. 29:18

“Where there is no vision, the people perish, but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”

Hab. 2:2

“And the Lord said to me, ‘Write my vision on a billboard large and clear, so that anyone can read it at a glance and rush to tell the others.”

Prov. 28:19

“Hard work brings prosperity; playing around brings poverty.”

Our vision at Trinity Lighthouse Church is simple – touch and change lives for the Glory of God. Our vision is four-fold. We desire:

  • To see His kingdom and purpose established in men’s hearts and in our cities.

  • To be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s direction. May we never become self-satisfied and think we can do anything without Him.

  • To be an inter-racial church that welcomes every race and every nation.

  • To be a relevant ministry in today’s society—a ministry for “real” people. The harvest is much too big to reap by the traditional means that have been passed down and accepted as unchangeable law.

What We Believe

1

The Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative written Word of God.

2

There is one God, eternally existent in three persons – God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

3

In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ; in His virgin birth; in His sinless life; in His miracles; in His vicarious and atoning death; in His bodily resurrection; in His ascension to the right hand of the Father; in His personal future return to this earth to take His bride, the Church.

4

Man is a created being, made in the likeness and image of God. Through Adam’s transgression and fall, sin came into the world. The only means of being cleansed from sin is through faith in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ.

5

According to Acts 2:4, the Baptism by the Holy Spirit is a gift from God; it is given to believers who ask for it. This experience will produce the fruits of the Spirit which are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. The Holy Spirit will also manifest Himself through other gifts, including speaking in other tongues as He gives utterance.

6

In the resurrection of all people: The one who dies in sin without Christ has no further opportunity for hearing the Gospel, or for repentance, and is therefore hopelessly and eternally lost. The one who dies in Christ has everlasting life spent in the presence of God.

7

In Water Baptism by immersion as a direct commandment of our Lord, and that it is for believers only.

8

In the doctrine of sanctification as a definite yet progressive work of grace.

9

In healing for the physical ills of the human body which is wrought by the power of God through prayer of faith and by the laying on of hands.

10

A simple belief that power, or anointing, or any other necessary quality can be transmitted from one person to another through the laying on of hands.
